They creep through the shadows. You can sense their lurking stares. These board gators only want one thing: your new sick ride. Why do these thieves crave your personal property? Because they where there is smoke there is fire and the Burton Vapor is both.
Aptly named, the Burton Vapor, this board is the mountain’s featherweight champion. It’s lighter than the hairs on the back of your neck that stood up the first time to you laid eyes on its Carbon Vaporskin Lite Construction. It metaphorically spits in the face of gravity’s ominous gropes and floats precariously over mile deep snow in an anti-Newtonian void that blurs the line between physics and modern mysticism.
Apparently Burton used similar technology when designing the Vapor as NASA to lighten the load during a shuttle launch. Is this that true? I don’t know, but what’s certain is that the Vapor is melded out of ultra high-grade aluminum honeycomb technology and Multizone EGD wood-grain and when you swap glass for carbon you end up with one of the lightest, fastest and strongest boards on the market.
Experienced riders are saying things like: “…everything people have been talking about.”, “…the edge hold is phenomenal!”, and “…I felt like I could bomb anything.” Great, but who are these guys? Not sure, but I do know that Kevin Pearce wont touch anything but the Vapor when he effortlessly blows competition off the mountain. You can watch Pearce on YouTube in the Burton factory getting his hands dirty. He agrees with his developer “…this is the best board in the world.”
